Quayside Apartments
WM Ironwork was appointed by Q-railing to collaborate on a large-scale and sensitive project, where the insurers Zurich were required to replace 500 metres of Q-railing Easy Glass balustrade. The replacement became necessary due to the failings of a previous installation by another company, which left residents with unsafe and unsatisfactory results. This project stood out not only for its scale but also for its complexity, as the apartments were already occupied and privately owned, requiring careful management of logistics, communication, and client expectations throughout the works.

Project Details
The scope of work consisted of 500 metres of Q-railing, Q-line post and rail balustrade with 10mm toughened glass infills. The clean, modern design provided both safety and aesthetic appeal, perfectly suited to the development.
Extended Works
Following the successful installation of the balustrades to the houses, the directors were so impressed with the results that they decided to extend the same design to the decked gardens. This decision nearly doubled the total meterage required, further enhancing the continuity and visual impact of the project.
